Snow
Yes. Today when we woke up there was snow on the ground. Who knew that it would get so cold and snow, after having a day like yesterday of close to 60 degrees. Though I should of known that we would get such wierd weather in Utah, especially on conference weekend. It was a very good conference. It was good to hear the Prophet speak.

snowman

Well as you all know, in the last week we have had some snow. Well, tonight when I got home from work, Karsten was out in the front yard with his friend making a snowman. I stayed out there and started making a snowman. I had a pretty big ball of snow, I had to get it to a different part of the yard. On the way over to the other part of the yard, 20 feet away, my snow ball broke into pieces. I did the best I could to salvage my snowman. I had nicole stand by it to show how big the snowman ended up being.

Thanksgiving
Today is Thanksgiving. We went up to Elwood for lunch. Uncle Harold was in charge, and we all had a great time. We finally started eating at around 1:30 pm. The food was great, and the company was great. Mom and Dad looked good. She still uses her walker as needed. even though she gets around pretty good without it. Dad still is using his cane, and getting around pretty good with it.
We are doing well. The kids are enjoying a few days out of school over Thanksgiving break, and I am enjoying not having to go to work for a few days (till Monday). We are all looking forward to Christmas break, to be able to go to Grandpa and Grandma Phillips place. We wanted to wish everyone out there a Happy Thanksgiving.

pumpkin drop
Hee Haw farms had their 2nd annual pumpkin drop. I work with a crane company called, G&S Crane. The owner, Steve, was invited to do the pumpkin drop last year, which I volunteered to help him last year. It went so well that they invited him back this year, and of course, I told him that if he needed help, let me know and I will help him. Well, yup, you guessed it. I helped him again this year. It was awesome. There was a man basket attached to the crane, and they attached a contraption on the bottom of the man basket which held the pumpkin. They had a Pontiac 6000 car, and dropped an 1169 lb pumpkin (State record) on the cab of the car. It was totally awesome when the pumpkin landed on the top of the car. Following is a link to the Salt Lake Tribune paper, which has a video of the drop.

This is a photo of the aftermath of the pumpkin meeting the Pontiac, I think that the pumpkin won.

flash flood
About a week and a half ago I was working down south of Moab, Utah. While I was down there working we had a few rain storms go through and dump quite a bit of rain. Well on my way home, I was in Green River, Utah, and off to the west I could see a storm that was just dumping the rain. When I had been on highway 6 for about 5 miles, all of a sudden the semi that was in front of me a ways, came to a screeching halt. And in front of him on the highway was lots and lots of water, with lots of debris all over the road. We finally went through the water, and it was really deep, If I went over 5 mph, the water was splashing over the hood on my service truck. It was a sight to see. I had never seen anything like it before, it was really interesting.

Foriegn exchange student
This was drawn by our foriegn exchange student, on the driveway in front of our house. I think that she did an awesome job. This is the first time she has drawn the madhatter. She is a selftaught artist. She came to our house all the way from France. Our kids are having a great time with her here. She leaves to go back home on the 29th of July.
